His Majesty also attended a Meeting with His Excellency Tran Thanh Man, Chairman of the National Assembly. The meeting took place at the National Assembly building. In the meeting, His Majesty in a titah highlighted the warm and close relations between both countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992, with expanding cooperation that includes trade and investment, energy, people-to-people exchanges, agriculture, aquaculture, and the halal industry.

His Majesty in the titah congratulated the National Assembly on its upcoming 80th anniversary in January next year, and expressed pleasure with the encouraging cooperation between the Legislative Council of Brunei Darussalam and the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Prior to the meeting. His Majesty was was introduced to members of the National Assembly. In turn, His Excellency was introduced to members of the delegation from Brunei Darussalam.

His Majesty in the titah said Viet Nam's active role in the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will ensure that legislative cooperation will continue to strengthen in pursuit of the common aspirations of regional parliaments.
